Is living in Panama dangerous? - living in panama
More specifically, the city of Panama, but living in the normally safe in Panama? I lived in Colombia and El Salvador, and I seriously doubt it's as dangerous as any other, but what is your opinion?
If no statistics. India has the highest rate of deaths due to terrorism, but New Delhi is probably the safest city and relaxed that I have visited.
So, thoughts?

I live and work in Panama City, Panama.
I never felt unsafe anywhere in this city, except in the area Chorrillo (not really recommended for each foot). There are few other places outside the city that I do not recommend to anyone. Otherwise, walking in the streets during the day and night time is generally safe and easy to navigate. Although this does not bother you, the prospect of petty corruption, which is undoubtedly should not be a problem, but not too bright ... as in any city. At no time did I or anyone I know ever had a problem with the police or criminal activities, which were not resolved significant field. Also working in my office late at night and had an open door into my car. The police knocked on the door said they were concerned for my safety and were checking out. Granted, there are more police per capita than the United States, actually a good presence and kept the police seems to have very low crime rate. I recommend this city to other cities in Latin America in waterDS for personal safety.
After a trip to Panama and New Delhi, I would say that Panama City is not more dangerous than any other city in the world. This is probably one of the safest cities in Central America for travel. Certainly had no problem while I was there.
If you lived in San Salvador, and I'm sure you feel safer in Panama City.
Of course, as always advise people to being alone in the night not a good idea to remove all of the capital. Common sense safety "of a city can dictate.

Living in the world is dangerous. We can stay on the moon and
I am not in Panama. Panama is safe. (Except Dangero or go to the "bell" like .. Chorrillo, Barraza, etc.
I do not think that is the city of Panama more dangerous than any other city in America America.Certain areas of the city may be "less safe" than others, but the same can be said, Los Angeles, Boston, San Salvador and Bogota.
I agree with you, not only about New Delhi, but also the use of statistics. In fact, I was told recently that there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics.
The best example would be the U.S. State Department travel warnings.
